Jean-Baptiste De Cuyper is Head of Business Development – Green Hydrogen at DEME HYPORT Energy and is responsible for growing DEME’s portfolio in green hydrogen projects. Prior to this, he was the Project Director for DEME’s flagship project HYPORT Duqm in Oman, a groundbreaking green hydrogen project at industrial scale, which he lead successfully through its first key development milestones. Jean-Baptiste is a member of the Belgian Hydrogen Council.

Jean-Baptiste has more than 20 years of experience in complex, state-of-the-art engineering projects, in marine works, civil construction, oil & gas and renewable energy, where he has taken up various leading managerial roles in project tendering, acquisition and business development. Prior to his full-time engagement into the topic of Green Hydrogen, Jean-Baptiste lead the DEME Offshore tendering and project acquisition activities for its Offshore Wind business. His academic background is Civil Engineering, with several additional business and general management education at leading European Business Schools.
