- 240 global leaders of the hydrogen revolution, coming from 31 countries, met in Monaco to exchange ideas on propelling the transition to green hydrogen;
- Germany’s H2FLY wins the 2023 Monaco Prize for Innovation in Green Hydrogen and Transportation
December 12th, 2023 – When we launched the Alliance three years ago, we understood the role hydrogen would play in the mobility sector and in ensuring we meet the carbon reduction targets, mandated by the Paris Climate Accord. But we did not expect the revolution to accelerate so rapidly. Ladies and gentlemen, the hydrogen revolution is truly happening, and it is happening now.” – Timothy Gribaudi, Founding Partner, Monaco Hydrogen Alliance & Managing Director, CoMotion.
A record 32 countries were represented at the two-day gathering, through the participation of over 240 senior officials and CEO’s from across the European Union and the Nordic countries to African, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern States, amongst others. Discussions revolved around how Innovation, Investment and Infrastructure are necessary to enhance the application of sustainable hydrogen, in view of decarbonizing sea, air, and land mobility.
“One third of greenhouse gas emissions come from the transportation sector, and hydrogen is a solution for the future of the Gouvernement Princier, which is actively seeking to identify innovative technologies and start-ups […] For the maritime sector and the yachting society, we are remaining attentive to hydrogen solutions”
“It’s clear that green hydrogen is needed to reach net zero. To make net zero happen, mobility needs to be built on green hydrogen”
