David Morant is a Director of the Supervisory Board for the Belfast Maritime Consortium. He started his career at JPMorgan in Advisory and Equity Research before embarking on a fifteen year fund management career specialised in financials and energy at Soros, SAC Capital and CQS.  He spent over six years at Scorpio based in London as Managing Director responsible for Strategic Planning before leaving earlier this year.  At Scorpio he worked across both listed companies – Scorpio Tankers and Eneti – as well as making private group investments in drone and battery technology.  More recently he has been CFO of Ardesier Port – the UK’s largest brownfield port development focussed on floating offshore wind manufacturing.
