Navid Ostadian-Binai advocates the energy transition along with equitable opportunities for all. In his role as Head of Green Vessels & Fuels at Maersk Tankers, Navid is concerned with the commercialization and scale of green shipping across segments in the industry. In 2023, Maersk Tankers announced an order for up to ten Very Large Ammonia Carriers (VLACs), while working to make the vessels capable of running on clean ammonia. With 17 years of technical and commercial experience across various industries, Navid has helped initiate and grow new business for and with corporates and startups alike.

Navid holds a MSc degree in Materials Science & Engineering from Norwegian University of Science & Technology, with stints at UC Berkeley and Technical University of Denmark.
