Ahilan is a well-known and highly respected technology and business leader with over three decades of industry experience, more than 25 years of which has been at board level, including leadership positions at LOC, DNV GL, GL Garrad Hassan and Noble Denton.
With expertise in hydrodynamics, he has led projects which have set standards and safety factors in jack-up site assessment, mooring systems and marine transportation.
He has been an expert witness and technical advisor to lawyers in Norway, UAE and the UK on many technically complex cases related to marine operations, drilling rigs and FPSOs. He is Chairman of the charity Marine Technology Trust which supports industrial placements in the marine industry for UK university students. In addition to this, he is an Advisory Board Member of WavEC Offshore Renewables and was Non-Executive Director of a vertical axis wind turbine company.
Ahilan has also acted as global director of LOC Renewables, having established it as an umbrella brand to consolidate the group’s expertise and portfolio across the marine renewables’ landscape. Under his direction, LOC Renewables rapidly developed its project experience across offshore and floating wind, floating solar, wave and tidal energy.
He holds a BSc (Leeds) and MS (Caltech) in Civil Engineering, a PhD (Cantab) in Engineering Fluid Mechanics, an MBA (Imperial) and is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Mr. Amrane has been appointed by His Majesty the King Mohamed VI as Chief Executive Officer of Ithmar Capital in February 2019. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Amrane was Deputy CEO of the national agency in charge of deploying Morocco’s renewable energy strategy.
Mr. Amrane’s previous experience in the economic and financial fields, as well as his engineering expertise, allowed him to oversee all operations throughout the investment value chain from development to legal engineering, partnerships and project financing.
In 2022, Mr. Amrane has become Chair of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF). He also, in the same year, was designated Chair of the Africa Sovereign Investors Forum (ASIF), a multilateral platform initiated by Ithmar Capital.
Mr. Amrane has been elected President of the Cluster ENR, a Climate Innovation Center that brings together 200 companies and institutions with several achievements in the fields of renewable energy and green technologies.
Thanks to his expertise in ESG driven companies, as well as his involvement in organizations focused in the energy transition areas, Mr. Amrane was appointed by the European Commission as a member of the High Level Expert Group on scaling up sustainable finance in low and middle income countries launched in September 2022.
From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Amrane was Managing Director in the banking industry in Morocco. Prior to that, Mr. Amrane held various positions in the Moroccan Ministry of Economy and Finance. He was a Public Finance Inspector, Head of the Debt Restructuring Service at the Treasury Division, and then Head of Credit within the same division.
Mr. Amrane holds a dual degree in engineering, from Hassan II Institute of Agronomy, and in Finance, from the General Inspectorate of Finances and the Association of Investment Management & Research (certification).

Dr. Stefan Kaufmann, who was born in 1969, served as Innovation Commissioner for Green Hydrogen at the German Ministry of Education and Research from June 2020 to July 2022. The position was created by the German Cabinet on June 10, 2020, as part of its national hydrogen strategy. In this position, he was a regular guest at the State Secretaries’ Committee for Hydrogen of the Participating Ministries as well as the National Hydrogen Council.
Since August 2022 Dr Kaufmann is working as a Senior Adviser. In one of his main mandates he is adviser to the thyssenkrupp board regarding all cross-business hydrogen activities and projects and represent the company nationally and internationally in all matters related to hydrogen.
Prior to his appointment as Innovation Commissioner for Green Hydrogen, the fully qualified lawyer served as chair of the Study Commission “Vocational Training in the Digital Work Environment” and CDU/CSU spokesperson on the Committee on Education, Research and Technology Assessment of the German Bundestag. Dr Kaufmann served as directly elected Member of the Bundestag for his Stuttgart constituency from 2009 to 2021.

Jean-Baptiste Djebbari is a well-known figure with a track record of excellence in the mobilitysector. He started his career as a pilot before gaining executive positions in air carriers. In 2017, he was elected member of the French Parliament.
In 2019, he was appointed to Frenchgovernment and was cabinet minister for Transport for nearly 3 years. He currently is theexecutive Chairman of Hopium, a French scale up that develops high-end hydrogen vehicles.

Dr. Prof. Katsuhiko Hirose is a former Toyota Engineer currently working as an independent consultant.
As an engineer, he was working at the front line of Toyota engineering for advanced Engine, Hybrid System and Fuel Cell Vehicle but also working as a planner to develop world strategy of hybrid and fuel vehicle deployment. He is recognized as a leader for having develop the first Hybrid Vehicle Prius for emission and fuel economy and later, the FCV Mirai first FCEV.
Dr. Prof. Hirose is also working to initiate several government industries infrastructure program such as German and UK H2Mobility. From 2016, he initiated building the world Hydrogen Consortium “Hydrogen Council” as a founding member secretary and as co-chairman to create several key reports.
After his time at Toyota in 2019, he has been an active independent consultant for Hydrogen Energy System and Advanced Mobility. He appears to promote hydrogen in many conferences all over the world.
Katsuhiko Hirose is currently a member of the scientific council of Engie SV, advising several companies including Toyota Motor and Mitsui & CO. Ltd. He is also working as a visiting professor to develop methodologies to implementing environmental technologies into the society in I2CNER Kyushu University.

Roland Kaeppner is the Executive Director for Hydrogen & Green Fuels within ENOWA.NEOM which will be the catalyst of the energy transition, using circular design and groundbreaking technologies to realize NEOM’s ambition to be powered by 100% renewable energy, with smart networks distributing high-standard water and green energy to all of NEOM, whilst exporting clean industrial resources and solutions, such as green hydrogen to the world.
Roland has almost 20 years’ global experience in hydrogen and green fuels and has ever since been an advocate and pioneer for a future hydrogen economy. Prior to joining ENOWA.NEOM, he was Executive Vice President for Energy Storage and Hydrogen at thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions, where he established and led their electrochemical green hydrogen production and redox flow battery technology businesses.
Kaeppner was previously Executive Member of the Board and CEO of Germany and Asia Pacific at McPhy Energy S.A., developing their innovative hydrogen portfolio and preparing the company for an IPO. Before that, he spent 13 years with Siemens Industrial Solutions, leading their technical solutions activities in North and South America before he initiated and developed their Hydrogen PEM Electrolyzer business.
Roland holds engineering and commercial degrees from Polytechnic Aalen, the University of Manchester and the Management Center St.Gallen.
Mr. Paul Lucchese

Paul Lucchese is currently working for the CEA – a French public research institute on low carbon technologies. He is an energy systems analyst and is in charge of low carbon energy prospective. He is also chairing the IEA (International Energy Agency) Hydrogen Technology Collaboration Programme, gathering 25 countries and many sponsors including Hydrogen Council. He was part of the team of the IEA “Future of Hydrogen” report, delivered to G20 leaders in June 2019.
Mr. Lucchese is an international expert on Hydrogen and energy system, involved in many international organizations and European Programmes, creating the Hydrogen Europe Research in 2007. He has been a member of the Governing Board of the European Program FCH JU for 9 years.
He was also representing France at the IPHE (International Partnership on Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy) and chair of the IPHE ILC committee.
He was the Former Deputy Director of Capenergies, an industrial private/public cluster in South of France. For many years, he led the R&D CEA programme on new technologies for energy, including PV, Hydrogen and fuel cells, biofuels, batteries and energy efficiency programme.
Paul Lucchese graduated from l’Ecole Centrale de Paris, with a degree in nuclear engineering.

Raphaël Schoentgen is a private entrepreneur which passions and expertise are technologies, energy, climate change, international business and international policy.
In 2018 he created Hydrogen Advisors, a consultancy firm active both in the private sector – energy / transport / industry / investors – as well as in the public sector – international bodies / national governments / cities councils / financial bodies.
As former Chairman of Hydrogen Europe and Chairman of the Board of the European Fund for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells (FCHJU), CTO of ENGIE and former personal advisor to a G8 minister of energy and industry, he wishes to advocate the development of this new green energy vector that he calls “a revolution” and help his clients get rapidly the “helicopter view” they need on the topic.
He builds on his personal network and own varied past experiences in 7 countries, with permanent interactions with high level leaders, both as a civil servant and a business man, and on issues of regulation, finance, regional development, technologies, infrastructures and industrial development.
In 2020 he also started investments in the field of hydrogen (providing growth equity to developing companies) and is for instance an early investor (prior to their listing on the DAX and on the NASDAQ) in Enapter and Hyzon Motors.
Raphael is an engineer by training, holds and has held several board positions (French Institute for Petroleum and New Energies, European Trade Chamber in China, …) and received several international awards (Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum, Young Global Leader of the World Cities Summit, …). He is married and has two daughters.

Elise Zoli is a partner in the energy and climate solutions practice at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she focuses on advancing strategic alliances in the clean energy, water, agriculture, and de-carbonized sectors.
Elise has worked extensively on a variety of groundbreaking technologies, transactions, and projects, including with nuclear, solar, wind, fuel cell (PEM (polymer electrolyte membrane) and SOF/EC (solid oxide fuel cells)), storage, micro- and smart-grid, CCUS, de-salination, and water technologies, as well as the associated securitization and markets for carbon, fuels, land, and ecological attributes. In conjunction with her transactional work, which focuses on strategic alliances, Elise has pioneered the use of novel P3 (public-private partnership) instruments, including U.S. Department of Energy grants, loan guarantees, and incentives.
Prior to joining Wilson Sonsini, Elise was a partner and the global head of the Future of Energy, Renewables+ and Sustainability initiative at Jones Day. Previously, she led the energy practice and was a partner at Goodwin Procter.
Elise is a co-founder of the Alliance for a Climate Resilient Earth and serves on the board of directors of the Stimson Center, a leading, nonpartisan global think tank. She is currently obtaining her global M.B.A. from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.

Mr. Emanuele Lauro joined Scorpio Holdings in 2003 and has continued to serve there in a senior management position since 2004. He currently holds the position of Chairman & Chief Executive Officer at Scorpio Tankers (NYSE:STNG), the largest product tanker company in the world, and Eneti (NYSE:NETI), which he founded. Under his leadership, Scorpio has grown from an owner of three vessels in 2003 to a leading operator and manager of more than 250 vessels in 2022. Mr. Emanuele Lauro has founded and developed several other ventures such as Scorpio Logistics, which owns and operates specialized assets engaged in the transshipment of dry cargo commodities and invests in coastal transportation and port infrastructure developments in Asia and Africa since 2007.
Mr. Lauro has been the President of the Monaco Chamber of Shipping since 2020.
In addition, Mr. Lauro is a member of the Advisory Board of Fordham University, he also served as director of the Standard Club from 2013 to 2019.

Siri is the founder and CEO of Stance Advocacy Services, building on her decades of experience in political advocacy and social impact. She earned her undergraduate degree in business administration while working as Director of Marketing for the Yogi Tea company. Later joining the public sector, she served as an aide to New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson for several years.
After earning a masters degree in international relations at Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and an MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School, Siri lived and worked in Afghanistan from 2009 to 2012. First serving with the U.S. Department of State focused on economic development projects, and later joined the UK-based charity Turquoise Mountain, working to create sustainable livelihoods for traditional artisans.
More recently, Siri led a social enterprise supporting female artisans in Saudi Arabia. She is also a board member of several organizations, including the Monaco Hydrogen Alliance.

Iftach completed his B.Sc., M.Sc. in Biology and Biotechnology in 2001 and 2003. He received his PhD in Microbiology and Biotechnology from Tel Aviv University (TAU) in 2007. As a doctoral student, he became a Dan David fellow under the supervision of Prof. Itai Benhar where he invented and developed a means of immuno-targeting photogenic bacteria and cancer using filamentous phages.
As a postdoctoral EMBO fellow with Shuguang Zhang (2008-2011) at MIT he invented and worked on the development of fusion proteins of the hydrogen producing enzyme, hydrogenase. He went back to TAU as an independent PI in 2012.
Since 2019, Iftach is an associate professor in the Faculty of Life Sciences, School of Plant Sciences, and Food Security. He teaches undergraduate students the beauty of photosynthesis and metabolic diversity in microbes. In the lab, Iftach enjoys fixing broken equipment that the students constantly provide and helping with every project.
He is passionate about converting photosynthetic organisms into chemical factories for producing high value products and energy carriers such as hydrogen gas. Since its establishment in 2012 his lab published more than 35 papers in top high ranked journals.
The most recent discoveries and developments of his lab, are a microalgal mutant which allows continuous hydrogen production under extremely simple “agri-friendly” method, for which scale up studies are being carried up.

Mr. Andy Fuchs started his career as a trainee at Audi in Ingolstadt, then held various positions in sales and marketing for the Scandinavian regions, Eastern Europe, UK and Spain. Between 1997 – 1998, he was in charge of establishing Audi in Argentina.
In 1999, he moved to Toyota Motor Europe headquarters in Brussels and was head of marketing for Lexus in Central Europe. He later took over the responsibility for marketing, public relations and business development for the Toyota Formula 1 team in Cologne in 2004.
Mr. Fuchs was the Head of the Toyota Group Representative Office in Berlin, between September 1, 2011 and December 2016, where he was in charge of Governmental Affairs and advanced technology programs – including hydrogen – for Toyota in Germany, as well as the Head of Press and Public Relations at Toyota Deutschland GmbH in Cologne between September 1, 2013 and November 2014.
In January 2017, he was assigned the General Manager Toyota Mobility Foundation, establishing the foundation in Europe and Africa. He develops, with multiple stakeholders, sustainable mobility solutions based on a digital platform design (SMART VILLAGE) and the integration of renewable energy into the energy mix (Hydrogen Society).

Dr. Laurent Antoni is Public Affairs manager and Senior Fellow for hydrogen at CEA, the French research and technology organization developing alternative energies.
Laurent Antoni is since 2016 President of Hydrogen Europe Research, the European research association on hydrogen and fuel cells gathering more than 120 universities and research institutes, member of the Governing Board of the European Clan Hydrogen Joint Undertaking.
He is also President of the Technical Committee of Fuel Cells at the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC/TC105) and a national representative in different working groups of international organizations (IEA Advanced Fuel Cells, IEA Hydrogen TCP, International Partnership for Hydrogen and fuels cells in the Economy – IPHE).
At the IPHE, Laurent Antoni is co-leader of the task force on the development of a methodology for determining the GHG emissions for hydrogen.

Nadine Hoelzinger is of German and French nationality with a degree in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin (Dipl.-Ing.) and in Environmental & Resource Economics from the University of New Hampshire in the USA (B.Sc.). She is co-founder and has been a managing director of Spilett New Technologies GmbH since 2008. Her competences and work focus on system analysis, concept development and project development in the fields of energy and transport sector transition for actors from industry, politics, and society.
Nadine Hoelzinger has been leading the “PDA project development assistance for regions” initiative of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership since 2019, being responsible for the support of 5+ regions as well as the PDA observer networks. As project leader and team member of the HyStarter project, funded by the German Ministry of Transport, she has provided direct support to seven German regions in steering their H2-Roadmap processes in 2019-2021. Since 2018 she has been contracted by the Toyota Mobility Foundation to design and develop an online decision-support tool for decision makers in hydrogen valleys (scenario calculator).
From 2008-2018 she supported the coordination team of the Clean Energy Partnership and led the concept development activities to transfer the former PPP into an industry initiative in 2017.

Under his leadership, a strong emphasis on cooperation with cities and regions led to the creation of the Hydrogen Valleys concept and the formation of the European Hydrogen Valleys partnership. Dissemination of project results and building technology awareness among the European citizens became an important priority. As an engineer he understands the importance of basic research and is a key focusing point on the call preparations.
Before, Bart Biebuyck was at the Powertrain Division of Toyota Motor Europe where he held various management positions. His expertise in the automotive industry includes extensive knowledge related to the deployment of new technologies such as hydrogen and fuel cells in the European market. Bart was responsible for the European trials of the Toyota Fuel Cell Vehicle, which were conducted partly in the German Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) program. He also had the opportunity to develop and expand his expertise in Japan, where he lived and worked for two years.
In addition to his industrial experience, Bart has been politically active in his local town since 2006. In 2013 he became the vice president of the City Council, responsible, among others, for the local economy and education.
Bart’s term as the Executive Director of the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking was extended for four years until May 2023.

She was a founding partner of multiple growth private equity funds and a project finance advisor in the Persian Gulf. Alicia led international strategy and acquisitions at Elan Biopharmaceuticals and was Vice President of Prudential Asia Infrastructure Mezzanine Capital Fund.

A Monegasque national who holds a master’s degree in Economic Sciences and a postgraduate qualification (DESS) in International Trade, Céline Caron-Dagioni began her career in the Monegasque car industry in 1997, negotiating mechanical engineering contracts with major car manufacturers internationally.
She entered government service in 2001, and took on a variety of posts within various ministries over the next 20 years, gaining experience in the highly technical fields of finance and the economy, before moving into health and social affairs.
Her responsibilities for corporate taxation, at both the national and international levels, and her work to promote discussions with the Principality’s partners led her to support the implementation of major technical economic projects, such as the taxation of savings and the review launched in 2010 on attractiveness in service of economic development.
In 2011, she was appointed to coordinate the work of the Department of Employment. She also contributed to establishing the major strategic and operational orientations of the organisation and functioning of Princess Grace Hospital and the Office of Occupational Medicine, as part of an ongoing social dialogue within these entities. In 2012, she was appointed as Deputy Chair of the Monaco Institute of Sports Medicine and Surgery (IM2S), a post that she continues to hold alongside her other responsibilities.
As Secretary-General of the Institute of Oceanography, Prince Albert I of Monaco Foundation, a post she occupied from 2018 to 2021, she was committed to promoting the Principality’s commitment to the environment and raising awareness as widely as possible of the need to protect marine species and ecosystems.

Pascal started out in the Oil & Gas industry. From 1998 to 2003, he ran the maintenance and operations dept. for cryogenics (including hydrogen) for Ariane launchers in Kourou, French Guiana. He was involved in some 47 launch campaigns.
In 2006, he joined Michelin as a research program manager for high-tech tires for aircraft, mining trucks and agricultural machines worldwide. His main challenge was to bring disruptive technologies to the market.
Since Michelin became one of the first companies to industrialize additive manufacturing (3D printing), he went on to manage the additive manufacturing program teams to ensure appropriate investments and push innovation. Insofar as additive manufacturing is a disruptive technology that leads to reconsider the company’s organizational practices, he has developed collaborative team approaches.
In 2017, he joined AddUp, a newly created joint venture by Michelin in the domain of additive manufacturing. He has then developed ecosystem approach with final users, manufacturers and machine providers as to foster new services and products.
Back to Michelin in 2020, he joins Movin’On, a co-innovation ecosystem for sustainable mobility initiated by Michelin, gathering over 300 international corporations, start-ups, academics, international organizations, cities, public authorities and other entities. Christine is the first Chief Scientist of the UK’s Joint Nature Conservation Committee. JNCC is part of the Defra group which provides conservation advice to governments based on analyses of scientific evidence. After studying Botany at Oxford, a work placement on seaweeds in the Natural History Museum in London and a scientific diving expedition to Brazil led to Christine’s first job as a diving botanist in Wales and then to a PhD at NUI Galway. Her main research interests are evolution and systematics of seaweeds, biological conservation and sustainable seaweed exploitation, and invasion biology in aquatic habitats.
Following a postdoctoral fellowship in Canada and a NERC Advanced Research Fellowship at Queen’s University Belfast, Christine joined QUB’s School of Biological Sciences as a marine biologist, becoming Professor of Phycology and then Head of School. She was appointed as a Member of the Royal Irish Academy in 2013 and received the Award of Excellence of the Phycological Society of America. She was Dean of Science & Technology at Bournemouth University, and is now a Visiting Professor there and Honorary Professor at QUB. Christine has served on grant evaluation panels in the UK, Ireland, Finland, Portugal, Norway and Sweden, and has contributed to the NERC and ESRC Peer Review Colleges.
Christine also promotes public understanding of seaweeds, having co-authored a popular Seasearch guide, and teaches a course to the public and agency staff in spring each year.
At QUB Christine worked to promote gender equality, leading the School’s successful 2009 submission for a Silver Athena SWAN award, and was closely involved in achieving the Gold award, which was recently renewed. She personally received the British Ecological Society’s Equality and Diversity award in 2017. In JNCC she supported JNCC’s HR staff in achieving Disability Confident leader status and is now leading the EDI Group.

Jonas was the Executive Director of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative 2007-2018, the global transparency and anti-corruption standard implemented by 55 countries and supported by hundreds of large companies and organisation.
Prior to building the EITI, Jonas was a Senior Advisor in the Executive Office of UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, Director at the Prince of Wales International Business Leaders Forum and member of the Swedish Foreign Service, posted to London and Maputo.

Olivier Savin, the founder of Blue Spirit Aero (BSA), secures more than 25 years of experience in the development of fuel cell and hydrogen technologies for aerospace.
As an engineer graduated in France and in the United States, he started at Honeywell Aerospace in California in 1997 as a research engineer on innovative fuel cell systems for various space projects (Shuttle, Reusable Launch Vehicle, X33, Orbital Express,…) and aeronautics projects (Helios and Pathfinder solar aircraft,…).
Upon joining Dassault-Aviation in Paris in 2003, he coordinated the activities related to the more electrical aircraft initiative and conducted various collaborative projects to develop electrical and hydrogen solutions (CleanSky Eco-Design for Systems, DGAC All Electric Falcon, FCH-JU HYCARUS,…).
Elected by his peers chairman of the international standardization working group on these technologies (SAE AE-7F/EUROCAE WG80) in 2016, he has been coordinating ever since the efforts of its 200 members to produce standards aimed at facilitating the certification of hydrogen-based airborne solutions.
Making use of his thorough experience, and having matured an innovative concept of hydrogen aircraft over the years, he founded BSA in July 2020.

Mr. René Sejer Laursen Holds an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark in 1989.
He has worked for MAN B&W Diesel since 1998 and has been among others, been project manager on the development of the ME-GI, a dual fuel 2-stroke marine engine operating on natural gas. He has introduced several new fuels to the marine market, like ethane, methanol, LPG and ammonia. LNG in 2012, methanol in 2013, ethane in 2014 and LPG in 2018 to the marine market.
Since the mid-2020 René has worked for ABS in Copenhagen, working in the Global Sustainability Group as Director with responsibility for fuels and new technology. The task for the sustainability group within ABS is to support and assist shipowner in their selection of the right technology and fuel mix for their fleet, hereunder the use of methanol, ammonia, LNG, LPG and hydrogen in different ship applications.
